Welcome to shondra jin skincare
At my studio I see only one client at a time.
Each service is custom-made for the individual client; no two treatments are exactly alike.
My studio is my workspace where I create unique facial treatments incorporating cutting-edge technology, time-honored traditions, and advanced techniques.
The products I use and offer to my clients are hand-picked or are exclusive offerings. While I focus mostly on Korean skincare, I carry products from all over the world.
Good skincare is not rocket science - with the right products, regimen, and treatment schedule most people can achieve skin that looks brighter and clearer and feels softer, smoother, and more resilient.
It’s just there’s SO MUCH out there - SO many products, SO many regimens, SO many treatments.

Korean Facial Treatment with PLLA + Neurotris Microcurrent
The Korean Facial Treatment w PLLA (aka the Needle-Free Filler Facial) + Neurotris Microcurrent is designed for the client who is looking for advanced age management care without downtime, needles, or pain.
With just one treatment your skin will feel softer, smoother, and more toned. Fine lines will seem to disappear. You will rediscover your “glow.”
PLLA (Poly-l-lactic acid) is used in dissolvable sutures and the injectable Sculptra to stimulate collagen.
The Korean Facial Treatment w PLLA applies this ingredient topically and is non-surgical and virtually painless.
One treatment lasts up to six weeks; a series of five or more weekly treatments last up to nine months.

Also known as the “fork facial”, the Neurotris SX3800 uses the latest advancement in electrotherapeutics to firm and tone the face and neck. Skin looks smoother and brighter, and feels firmer and more resilient. Results are both cumulative and profound.

A modern variation of the Japanese facial shaving technique, dermaplaning manually exfoliates and de-fuzzes the face. It improves the absorption of active ingredients and leaves your skin baby-soft.

Keratin Lash Infusion & Tinting
Keratin Lash Infusion gently lifts and tints your natural lashes with a guaranteed ZERO DAMAGE to your lashes.
Close your eyes and relax for 75 - 90 minutes and leave with your lashes gently lifted and tinted. The only care required is to not get water on them for 48 hours after treatment—that’s it.
Lashes stay lifted for 6-8 weeks, while the tint lasts for 2-4 weeks. Come in and get your tint refreshed within the 8 weeks post KLI treatment at a reduced rate.

Skincare Products
My criteria for products:
1) It has to work. Period.
2) It can’t be a chore to use. Bonus points if it smells amazing or is especially easy to apply.
3) I have to love it; it has to “wow me.”
I curate from all over the world: sunscreens from Japan; glycolic-retinol pads from Arizona; results-driven botanical products from Australia; cult favorites and cutting edge skincare from Korea.
Recent exclusive offerings include Crazy Rich Shark SDM from American indie company Holy Snails. This silky serum brightens and hydrates the skin, fights wrinkles, and reduces brown spots with just a few daily drops. This product took THREE YEARS to come to come together.

my story
I was born in 1972 in South Korea and raised in Canada, with family roots in Maine that go back to 1749.
I am obsessed with skincare.
I started early: I talked my dad into buying me my first lipstick when I was 5 (my mother was horrified - I was a maverick!) but once I started with acne in my teens I switched to skincare and never looked back.
Finding the most effective products and non-invasive treatments is an adventure I still enjoy exploring. I try to learn at least two new techniques or modalities a year. I am always testing new product and invariably have several different potions I am trying out. I am by nature inquisitive and skeptical - before it goes on a client, I test everything myself.
When not researching new treatments or testing product, I like to cook, read, and write (I had a play in the 2014 Maine Playwrights Festival). In addition to my native English, I also speak fluent French, conversational Spanish, a smattering of ASL, and I am slowly learning Korean (I was adopted at the age of 7 months - I like to joke I am rediscovering my native culture though my two favorite things, food and skincare!)
